Herb and Edie Randle received their art training at the Museum School of Fine Art Boston. Their five years of study prepared them for careers in portraiture. Edie specializes in animal portraiture. She uses pastel in portraying pets: dogs, cats and horses. She works from photographs. Both artists rely on close communication with their client.
Mr. Randle's paintings and commissioned portraits are in many private collections throughout the country. Seven of his landscape paintings have appeared as covers or illustrations in "Yankee Magazine". Mr. Randle has been a Demonstration artist in Grumbacher's "Palette Talk" publication. He has been featured in a Boston Globe "People and Places" article and the subject of a March, 2001 issue of "American Artist".
